Spring for Schools Event Branding

Casey gustafson color

The Foundation wanted something that says Spring, but the brand colors in muted greens, orange, blue, and desaturated red skew towards fall. I used only two hues of blue and green to brighten and simplify, moving the brand away from fall.

I used solid bars of color in different sizes to create variety and emphasis throughout the materials. Pictured here: Invitation and RSVP card

In these designs I had to leave space for sponsor information that would be added later. This flyer and poster were distributed in Bellevue to market the event.

In 2016 and 2017 I had the pleasure of working with the Bellevue Schools Foundation here in Bellevue, Washington on a branding project for Spring for Schools 2017. Taking place once a year, this event provides the majority of the Foundation's funding and supports programs like robotics, art, and college prep classes for local kids. I collaborated closely with the communications department on this project, utilizing the Foundation's brand style guides, logos, and photography to create something fresh and fun for the event.

Thank you to the Bellevue Schools Foundation for the great opportunity and all the feedback along the way!
